If you want to trade under your own brand on a rolling monthly agreement, both Your Travel Centre and Niftrip let you do that. Where they differ is the money. Your Travel Centre takes 20% of your commission and service fees for $100 or $200 a month. Niftrip charges 1% of turnover plus $99 + GST a month, and you keep all your at-source commission.
I run Niftrip, so I’m not neutral. Every Your Travel Centre figure here comes from its own website, with links below.
Who is each one for?
Your Travel Centre is a Brisbane company operating since 2003. Its whole pitch is that you build your own business under your own trading name, with your own logo on the invoice and your own website, and it does that well.
It’s also one of the few Australian hosts that openly takes newcomers. You need a Certificate III in Travel or equivalent first, or at least a year’s industry experience within the last three years.
Niftrip suits experienced, tech-forward consultants and forward-thinking newcomers who want to keep their full at-source commission and use modern tools to cut admin.

What do you take home on each?
Say you sell $500,000 a year at a 10% average commission. On Niftrip you’d keep $43,812. On Your Travel Centre’s Budget plan you’d keep $38,909, which is $4,903 a year less, and on Premium $37,818.
A year’s at-source commission after the split and monthly fees, ex GST (Your Travel Centre’s fees have GST taken out). Start-up fees left out.
At a 10% average commission, Niftrip and Your Travel Centre Budget 80% come out level at $9,700 of sales a year. Below that Your Travel Centre Budget 80% keeps more; above it Niftrip does.
At a 10% average commission, Niftrip keeps more than Your Travel Centre Premium 80% at any level of sales.

| $1,000,000 | $108,812 | $94,909 | −$13,903 | $93,818 | −$14,994 |
What if you get the 90% top-achiever split?
Your Travel Centre offers “a more generous commission split of 90%” to its top achieving agents. It doesn’t say what you need to achieve, so I’ve treated it as a what-if. At 10%, a top achiever on the Budget plan keeps $97 a year more with Your Travel Centre, which is the difference between the two monthly fees. At 12% Niftrip is ahead. If your average commission is below 10%, though, the 90% Budget plan beats Niftrip at every level.
A year’s at-source commission if Your Travel Centre’s Budget plan paid its top-achiever 90%, ex GST. Start-up fees left out.
At a 10% average commission, Your Travel Centre Budget 90% keeps more than Niftrip at any level of sales, by $97 a year.
The same figures as a table, at a 10% and 12% average commission
| Sales a year | Niftrip at 10% | YTC Budget at 90% | Against Niftrip | Niftrip at 12% | YTC Budget at 90% | Against Niftrip |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $250,000 | $21,312 | $21,409 | +$97 | $26,312 | $25,909 | −$403 |
| $500,000 | $43,812 | $43,909 | +$97 | $53,812 | $52,909 | −$903 |
| $1,000,000 | $88,812 | $88,909 | +$97 | $108,812 | $106,909 | −$1,903 |
What do you get for the fee?
Both Your Travel Centre plans include induction training, a mid office, CRM and booking system, your choice of GDS, holiday leave support of up to four weeks a year and professional indemnity insurance. Premium adds your own website on your own domain with a live booking engine, plus personalised email marketing to your database. If you want marketing done for you under your own name, that’s a strong package for $200 a month.
Niftrip’s $99 + GST covers the platform, your own email address and support, with a website as an optional add-on priced on request. We don’t send newsletters on your behalf.
If a client-facing website with a booking engine matters most to you, Your Travel Centre’s Premium plan is ahead. If cutting the time you spend keying bookings and invoices matters most, that’s what Niftrip is built for.
What happens when you leave?
Your Travel Centre’s agreement is month to month and you can give one month’s notice. Because you trade under your own name, it says that if you move or sell your business “you will have a tangible asset with brand equity you have built over time”. It doesn’t publish what happens to bookings in progress when you go.
At Niftrip you go monthly on 30 days’ notice after the first 3 months, with no restraint of trade, and your clients, contacts and domain stay yours with a full export.
Which should you choose?
In my view, Your Travel Centre is the better choice if you’re new, you’ve done your Cert III, and you want a structured induction, leave cover and marketing sent out for you. It’s also the better choice if your average commission sits below 10%, or if you’re confident of reaching its 90% top-achiever split and you sell at around 10%. I respect how plainly it publishes its fees and how firmly it backs advisors building their own brand.
Niftrip is the better choice once you’re selling at 10% or more and you’d rather keep the 20% than pay for marketing you could do yourself. If you sell at 15% or 20%, or build your own packages, the gap grows further, because our fee doesn’t rise with your commission.
I’ve run a host agency since 2013, and I built Niftrip for advisors who want to earn what they’re worth.

Where the Your Travel Centre figures come from
Every Your Travel Centre figure here comes from its own website, checked on 20 October 2026.
About Your Travel Centre
Your Travel Centre is the trading name of Your Travel & Cruise Pty Ltd, a Brisbane company operating since 2003. It hosts over 100 independent contractors, runs two retail stores, and is a member of Magellan Travel, which Helloworld owns. Its whole pitch is that you build your own business under your own trading name, with your own logo on the invoice and your own website, and it does that well.
Its Budget plan is aimed at new advisors and people running a lifestyle business, and its Premium plan adds a website and done-for-you marketing.
GST and the formula
Your Travel Centre quotes its prices including GST. I’ve taken the GST out for the maths, because both models assume you’re GST-registered and claim it back, so $100 becomes $90.91 and $200 becomes $181.82.
The tables are yearly take-home figures, ex GST, before any start-up fee. Niftrip is sales × rate − 1% of sales − $1,188, and Your Travel Centre is 80% × sales × rate − its monthly fee × 12. The Against Niftrip columns show each plan minus Niftrip, so −$2,403 means Niftrip leaves you $2,403 more.
Why the gap grows
A 20% share of a 10% commission is 2% of everything you sell, against our 1%, which is why the gap roughly doubles each time your sales double.
The 90% split on Premium
On the Premium plan at 90%, Niftrip is still ahead by $994 a year at 10%.
Everything both plans include
Both Your Travel Centre plans include induction training, a mid office, CRM and booking management system, client and supplier accounting support, your choice of GDS, an intranet and knowledge centre, a head office support centre, business development support, holiday leave support of up to four weeks a year, professional indemnity insurance and accreditation cover. Training is included in the plan.
Premium adds your own customisable website on your own domain, kept up to date for you, with a live cruise, airfare, tour and hotel booking engine. It also adds personalised email marketing to your database and access to co-op marketing funds on application.
Your Travel Centre’s technology and service fee wording
Your Travel Centre gives you a mid office, CRM and booking system, GDS access and, on Premium, a website with live booking built in so clients can search and enquire themselves.
Its split covers “at source commission on all products and service fees”. On $10,000 of service fees you’d keep $8,000 there, or $9,000 at 90%. On Niftrip the 1% applies to everything you invoice, so you keep $9,900.
How Niftrip works
Niftrip reads supplier confirmations sent to your Niftrip inbox or pasted in, any text including Sabre, and turns them into a booking and invoice with no typing: 1 minute 19 seconds for a cruise, about 2 minutes for a flight and hotel. It produces costings with GST, invoices and receipts, and shows expected earnings on every booking. Clients get a branded itinerary with quote options and a compare-trips view, a client portal, and documents behind a 6-digit email code.
At Niftrip you pay the first 3 months ($297 + GST) up front, then go monthly on 30 days’ notice with no restraint of trade. Your clients, contacts and domain stay yours, with a full export. Bookings in progress stay with the agency until travelled, and you keep servicing them for the commission, with no monthly fee during that run-off. If you open your own agency later, you can keep using the Niftrip platform on a subscription.
