Money
What's the difference between at-source and override commission?
At-source commission is what the supplier pays on each booking. You'll always know your exact at-source rate for every supplier you work with, and you keep all of it. Override commission is extra the supplier pays the agency on top, based on the agency's total sales with that supplier, along with any incentives. Niftrip keeps overrides and incentives. That's how we earn, along with the $99 a month and the 1%. You can charge your clients whatever you like on top of your commission.
When do I get paid?
Commission is paid on the 15th and last day of each month, once your client's travel is complete and the commission has been received.
How is client money held?
Client payments go into a separate client account, and suppliers are paid from it.
How much does it cost?
$99 + GST a month, plus 1% + GST of what you invoice clients. You keep 100% of your at-source commission.
Is there a joining fee?
No.
Do I pay for a GDS or ticketing?
No. There are no GDS or ticketing fees.
What does the agency keep?
The monthly fee, the 1%, and supplier overrides and incentives. You always see your commission rate listed, and you can charge whatever you like above it.
Can I charge my own service fees?
Yes. You set them. The 1% applies to the total you invoice your client.
Is Niftrip an MLM?
No. We never pay anyone for recruiting, there's no downline, and our fees are on the Pricing page.
Your clients and contract
Do I see the advisor agreement before I join?
Once we've both agreed Niftrip is a good fit, we'll send you the full advisor agreement.
Who owns my clients?
You do. Your clients, contacts and domain stay yours, and you get a full export if you leave.
How do I leave?
The first 3 months ($297 + GST) are paid up front, then it's monthly and you can leave with 30 days' notice. There's no restraint of trade.
What happens to bookings when I leave?
Bookings in progress stay with the agency until they've travelled. You keep looking after them and you still get the commission. There's no monthly fee during that time.
Can I keep using Niftrip if I open my own agency?
Yes. You can keep using Niftrip on a subscription. Ask us.
Can I use my own brand?
Yes. You get your own email address, and your itinerary and client portal carry your brand. Your own portal web address is coming.
Support
Is there support after hours?
Yes. There's 24/7 backup for ticketing and emergencies, and everyday help in business hours.
What happens when I'm on leave?
We can arrange cover from another advisor for a fee. Ask us and we'll talk it through.
